Both Challenges are designed to encourage a few minutes of daily Doodling, promoting healthy learning habits and boosting your child’s maths and English skills.

How to take part

1. Register for the Challenge

From the 1st of April, visit the Parent Dashboard and press Register for the Challenge next to your child’s name for one or both Challenges. 

If they have a school account, you’ll need to link your email address to their account before doing this.

The last day to register for and begin the Challenge is the 24th of April.

2. Use Doodle ‘little and often’

Encourage your child to earn 450 stars (or 350 if they were born after August 2017) and use DoodleMaths and/or DoodleEnglish for 7 days* before the 30th of April.

*These 7 days don’t need to be in a row. A day of use is defined as completing at least one exercise between 0:01 and 23:59.

3. Receive your rewards!

Once they’ve reached their goal, we’ll send them a pin badge in the post! This will be sent to your home if you have a home account, or school if they have a school account.

You can also claim a certificate for them by visiting the Parent Dashboard and pressing Claim reward before the 23rd of May.

If you have a home subscription...

Visit the Parent Dashboard and press Register for the Challenge next to your child's name for one or both Challenges. 

Then, encourage your child to start working towards their target!

If you have a school subscription...

You'll need to link your email address to your child's account before registering for the Challenge: find out how.

Then, encourage them to start Doodling towards their target! 

If you don't have a Doodle subscription...

Don't have a Doodle account? No problem! Click here to create one. Then, visit the Parent Dashboard and press Register for the Challenge next to your child's name. 

Encourage your child to earn 450 stars (or 350 if they were born after August 2017) and use DoodleMaths and/or DoodleEnglish for 7 days* between the 1st - 30th of April.

*These 7 days don’t need to be in a row, so your child can use Doodle whenever they’d like throughout the summer! A day of use is counted as completing at least one exercise (an x-a-day, Power-Up, Tricky, Assignment or baseline assessment exercise) between 00:01 and 23:59. 

Once they’ve reached their goal, we'll send them a pin badge in the post! You can also claim a personalised certificate for them by logging in to the Parent Dashboard and pressing Claim reward before the 23rd of May.

There are lots of ways to track your child’s progress: 

  • Download our printable Challenge tracker sheet. Doing this is also a great way to keep them motivated! 
     
  • In DoodleMaths or DoodleEnglish, visit the Learning Zone and take a look at the Challenge gauge in the left-hand corner to see how close they are to their target. 
     
  • Press on the arrow icon in the top left-hand corner of the Learning Zone and press on Badges. The gauge beneath the Spring Challenge badge will show your child's progress towards their goal! 
     
  • Visit the Parent Dashboard, hover over Analyse and select Effort. Select the date your child started the Challenge and the current date to see how many stars they’ve earned and how many days they've used Doodle for. 

Yes! To join the fun, you'll first need to link your email address to your child's Doodle account. For guidance on how to do this, please read this help article.

Once you've done this, visit the Parent Dashboard and press Register for the Challenge

If they'd like to join both Challenges, a home subscription can be taken out in the subject their school is not subscribed to. To do this, link your email address your child’s account, visit the Parent Dashboard, hover over My account and press Subscriptions

Please note: your child’s rewards will be sent to their school after the Challenge has come to an end. 

A paid or school subscription is required to register in the Challenge and receive a pin badge and certificate free of charge.

Alongside joining the Challenge, a paid Doodle subscription gives users access to unlimited exercises, educational games and virtual rewards. Plus, all subscriptions begin with a free trial!

There’s no need to claim their pin badge: once they reach their target, we’ll send it to your home address of school (depending on their subscription type). 

You can claim their certificate by visiting the Parent Dashboard and pressing Claim reward next to their name before midnight on the 23rd of May. 

Only stars earned in DoodleMaths count towards the DoodleMaths Challenge.

Similarly, only stars earned in DoodleEnglish count towards the DoodleEnglish Challenge.

The Challenge will take a minimum of 7 days to complete (if Doodle is used for 7 days and 450/350 stars are earned within these 7 days). These days don’t need to be consecutive; your child can use Doodle whenever they like throughout the Challenge period! 

Your child could also earn their stars before and/or after their 7 days of Doodling. 

To receive a FREE pin badge and certificate, encourage them to reach their goal by midnight on the 30th of April. 

Terms and conditions

How to participate 

  • To enter, a parent or guardian must register their child/ren through the ‘Register for the Challenge’ link on the Parent Dashboard. If they have a home subscription, they must confirm or enter their home address before they can register their child/ren. Registration closes at 23.59 on the 24th of April 2025. 
  • Each child can be entered for the DoodleMaths Challenge, the DoodleEnglish Challenge or both Challenges, provided they have a paid subscription in the corresponding product (either a home or school DoodleMaths and/or DoodleEnglish subscription). 
  • Entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions will be void and will not be entered into this promotion.
     

Selection of the winners 

  • During the Challenge Period, each child’s usage of the registered DoodleLearning product/s, DoodleMaths and/or DoodleEnglish (the “Products”) will be tracked. The ‘Assessment Period’ being the four (4) week period from 00.00 on the 1st of April 2025 until the 31st of April 2025. 
  • If a child earns 450 stars (or 350 if they were born after August 2017) and uses their registered Product for seven (7) days during the Assessment Period, they will win receive a pin badge and certificate.* 
  • Results over the Assessment Period will be checked using the live data saved to the Doodle servers. Pupils who work offline will need to make sure their data is saved to the server on a regular basis for sessions to be counted. 

Rewards 

  • There will be three (3) prizes per Product, being a Product-specific pin badge, virtual badge and printable certificate. This pin badge will be sent to the child’s home address or school (depending on whether they have a school or home subscription). The certificate can be downloaded by visiting the Parent Dashboard before midnight on the 23rd of May 2025.
  • There are no alternative prizes.  

Restrictions and requirements 

Please note the following restrictions and requirements apply to the promotion:

  • Entrants must be Doodle subscribers in order to participate; 
  • Employees of the promoter and their immediate families are not eligible to enter this promotion;
  • Entrants with home users accounts who are not located in the UK will receive two (2) prizes, a Product-specific virtual badge and printable certificate, but not a pin badge 

Notification of the results and receipt of the prize 

  • The promoter will notify those that have completed the Challenge by email on or before the 1st of May 2025. 
  • Challenge completionists will receive their pin badge on or before the 31st of July 2025. They will receive their virtual badge and certificate upon their completion of the Challenge. The certificate must be claimed before the 23rd of May 2025.

Publicity and personal information 

  • Completionists may be asked to participate in post-promotion publicity. 
  • The promoter may use your personal information to contact you about your entry and only in accordance with these terms and conditions and our privacy policy at https://doodlelearning.com/privacy-policy. 

General 

  1. This promotion is operated by Discovery Education Europe Limited of 9 Palace Yard Mews, Bath BA1 2NH, UK. 
  2. While nothing in these terms and conditions will limit the promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud, the promoter will not be legally responsible to entrants or completionists for any losses that were not foreseeable to the promoter or to the entrant at the time of entry to the promotion or which are caused by a third party. 
  3. The laws of England and Wales apply to these terms and conditions. 
  4. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
