What's covered in 11 Plus exam papers?
🔢 Maths paper
Children are given 50 questions to answer in this paper, which are usually multiple choice. Questions cover number fluency, number (such as fractions and prime numbers), measurement, statistics, algebra, geometry and probability.
✏️ English paper
This paper includes comprehension and vocabulary exercises, where children are asked to complete missing sentences and to identify word meanings. In addition, they’ll be asked to spot spelling mistakes and errors in the use of punctuation.
📊 Non-verbal reasoning paper
In this paper, your child will need to solve mathematical-based problems based on pictures and diagrams. The questions are designed to see how well they can analyse visuals and solve problems using visual logic.
📖 Verbal reasoning paper
This paper has 80 questions, some of which are multiple choice. These questions focus on grammar and vocabulary. They’re designed to test your child’s problem-solving skills and their ability to follow word and text-based sequences.
