Don’t forget, DoodleSpell, our interactive spelling app, is included as part of your DoodleEnglish subscription (at no extra cost!). This gives your child complete English support across grammar, punctuation and spelling.

Children can now explore concepts in many different ways, helping to embed learning and keeping them on their toes.
We’ve refreshed our English concept explanations to introduce learning in a gradual, logical way, mirroring classroom teaching.
Concepts, sometimes referred to as topics, are made up of two parts: an explanation and a set of questions.
DoodleEnglish uses the ‘Connect‘ and ‘Discover‘ sections, as well as Doodle characters, to help unpack learning, share ideas and make observations in a relatable way.
Connect recaps relevant previous learning, helping them to make connections with learning, aid their understanding and boost confidence with content they already know!
Discover focuses on 2-3 distinct learning points that are taught through modelled examples and reinforced with interactive elements
Once they’ve completed these two sections, they’ll move onto a question set to put what they’ve learned into practice!
❓If your child gets stuck or could use a little more support in a question set, pressing on the question mark icon will reveal a handy hint.
📚 In-depth National Curriculum coverage: children learn everything they need to tick off National Curriculum objectives
💡 Boosts confidence: revisiting concepts children already know before introducing new topics
📝 Bite-sized chunks of learning: smaller steps help learning feel more manageable
🎮 Exciting + engaging interactives: concepts are more colourful, visual and hands-on, keeping learning fun and enjoyable!
💬 Enhanced text-to-speech (TTS) functionality: offers audible support by reading content aloud and encouraging independence

Now’s the time to get children to complete a new DoodleEnglish baseline assessment! Why? We need to make sure all children are placed accurately within the new programme.
They’ll unlock all the new content as soon as they’ve completed it!
From June 2nd
If a child hasn’t completed a baseline assessment before June 2nd, this will be the next activity in their Learning Zone. They won’t be able to continue in DoodleEnglish until this is completed.
When finished, the exciting features will be waiting for them.
