Recall and Use Division Facts for the 2 Times Table

Remember, division is the inverse of multiplication. If you have learned your multiplication facts for the 2 times table, learning these division facts will be easy. Here they are => 

0 ÷ 2 = 0
2 ÷ 2 = 1
4 ÷ 2 = 2
6 ÷ 2 = 3
8 ÷ 2 = 4
10 ÷ 2 = 5
12 ÷ 2 = 6
14 ÷ 2 = 7
16 ÷ 2 = 8
18 ÷ 2 = 9
20 ÷ 2 = 10
22 ÷ 2 = 11
24 ÷ 2 = 12

Example 1 => What is 10 divided by 2?
Well, 2 times 5 is 10, so 10 divided by 20 will equal 5.

Example 2 => 16 ÷ 2 = ?
2 x 8 = 16, so 16 ÷ 2 = 8

Example 3 => What 18 divided by 2?
Well, 2 x 9 is 18, so 18 ÷ 2 will equal 9.

Example 4 => 14 ÷ 2 = ?
2 x 7 = 14, so 14 ÷ 2 will equal 7.
