🎉 Why join the fun?
By taking part, your pupils will be incentivised to complete their 10 minutes of daily Doodling, helping to fill gaps in their knowledge and prevent learning loss.
Plus, they can earn a virtual back-to-school badge, an exciting reward designed to promote healthy learning habits and celebrate their hard work!
Over 60% of pupils who achieve a 7-day streak in Doodle go on to achieve a 14-day streak – and if children use Doodle for 10 minutes a day for 30 days, that’s an additional five hours of learning each month!
⭐ How to take part
Encourage every pupil in your class to be working in the green zone (by achieving their target number of stars) for 14 consecutive days from Friday the 19th of January until MIDNIGHT on Thursday the 2nd of February.
How you do this is up to you: a ‘little and often’ approach gets results! Doodle also has lots of fun features specifically designed to encourage daily practice, including educational games, virtual badges and exclusive accessories.
Register your interest by midnight on the 18th of January by logging in to the Teacher Dashboard and clicking ‘Add classes’ on the main page. You can enter your class for DoodleMaths, DoodleEnglish, DoodleTables or DoodleSpell or all four subjects!
Please note, classes should reflect your school’s normal set up.
We recommend not starting any new baseline assessments during the competition, as this will prevent your pupils from collecting their stars before they complete the assessment.
🏆 The winners
After the 5th of February, we’ll total up the % of pupils working in the green zone during the Back-to-School Competition. The class with the highest % of children in the green zone will win!*
There will be one winning class for DoodleMaths, one for DoodleEnglish, one for DoodleTables and one for DoodleSpell, each winning a bundle of educational goodies worth up to £75.
There will also be 8 runners-up prizes, each worth £25! These will be awarded to the classes with the next highest % of pupils on target in DoodleMaths, DoodleEnglish, DoodleTables or DoodleSpell.
*In the event of multiple classes achieving 100% of pupils on target, we’ll select one class at random to be the winner for that subject.

Terms and conditions
- Registration entries close at 23:59 on the 18th of January 2024. You can view classes that are entered from the Teacher Dashboard. Entries received after this time will not be counted.
- Being in the ‘green zone’ is defined as children earning their target number of stars within the last 7 days.
- The Back-to-School Competition starts at 00:00 on Friday the 19th of January 2024 and finishes at 23:59 on Thursday the 2nd of February 2024. Only days during this 14 day period will be counted in the competition.
- Classes should reflect your school’s normal set up.
- Only Premium classes (classes with a paid Doodle subscription) are permitted to enter.
- One entry per programme per class. One teacher may enter multiple classes. More than one class per school may enter.
- The competition is based on a class entry, not individual pupils.
- Classes compete against all other entrants within the programme they are competing in (DoodleMaths, DoodleEnglish, DoodleTables or DoodleSpell). There will be one prize winner per programme, one for DoodleMaths, one for DoodleEnglish, one for DoodleTables and one for DoodleSpell.
- In the event that there are multiple classes with the same winning result, one winner will be picked at random per subject. Runners up prizes will be allocated to the classes with the next highest percentage in the green zone across DoodleMaths, DoodleEnglish, DoodleTables and DoodleSpell.
- By entering, you agree to your school and class name appearing on our social media pages (children’s names will not be included).
- The prize winners will be picked on or after the 5th of February 2024 and will be notified by email.
- Results will be checked on live data saved to our servers. Pupils who work offline will need to make sure their data is saved to the server on a regular basis for sessions to be counted.
